Field Trips enhance understanding and deepen learning. Beginning at the end of September, first graders enjoy monthly, Tuesday or Thursday afternoon, walking trips to the Goss Reading Room. This trip allows students to notice seasonal changes, become familiar with their community, get exercise and enjoy story time before choosing their own books. Parent volunteers are needed for these trips.

On Wednesday, March 6, 2019 we will travel to the Capitol Center for the Arts for the 10:00 AM showing of Frindle.  There is a $7.00 fee for this trip.

FRINDLEBased on the book by Andrew Clements. Nicholas Allen has plenty of ideas. When he ends up in Mrs. Granger’s language arts class, he has his best idea ever. He decides to create his own word…FRINDLE! Before long Nick’s word creates a buzz in his school, his town and then to his surprise it spreads all around the country, and a power struggle erupts with the strict Mrs. Granger. Will the word “Frindle” win?

In late May or early June, we will visit the tide pools at North Hampton. Last year the bus cost us $400.00 so there is a $5.00 fee for this trip.
